I hope so too. It is an amazing incentive to their employees to reduce their carbon footprint.

I think that is a great idea. I often think that I would like to bike to work, but for most of the year where I live it is just too hot.

Wow, yes, hats off to SunRidge farms. This is a huge step for a company, and it is making a huge difference! I hope we see other companies follow suit.

It is always great to hear of people making a difference in their communities, in this case by trying to make their businesses more eco-friendly through biking to work. It is a great way to help the enviroment while offering a healthy way to get to work each morning. But why not take it to the next level? There are paper products availiable that are renewable, biodegradable as well as compostable. There are countless products - everything from plates, bowls and cups to trash bags and utensils. These products can be used on a daily basis and can allow a business to take the next step to becoming even greener.

Hello,
I share the same interest in green initiatives in small businesses and salute you for mentioning them. I even wrote a small book on it to try to get these small organizations take the turn. It is called 144 ways to reduce your organization's ecological footprint and as you wrote in your last statement, I hope it helps them make small steps in the right direction.

Great article and a great idea by SunRidge Farms. I think one of the easiest ways a business can go green is by implementing a simple recycling program. Most states recycling stations will pay for your collected glass and plastic. A business could collect these and use the money for an end of year Christmas party, or just donate it to an eco-friendly cause.
