I’m not sure that the general public is concerned about the environment until it affects them directly. Although most of the time it is affecting them, I just don’t think they’re aware until it’s blatantly obvious.

How does the concern for the environment affect consumer behavior? What steps do companies take to accomidate the changing markets of being green? How do advertisers promote their products as being green?

We have the ability and the need to create green jobs. What’s is missing is a definition of what these jobs will look like. A good example to follow is the Slow Food movement. These jobs are rooted in fundamentals. These same fundamentals can be applied to jobs in green industries.

America needs to start manufacturing again – items and technologies that can be applied locally, that will help our way of life. Why don’t we start addressing – Energy, Food, Transportation and Shelter.

We are the one’s we have been waiting for…

Although I don’t often do my shopping there, the farmer’s market on the main street in my small town in a rural area in South Korea adds a great deal of character to the area.

I’m not sure exactly how environmentally friendly the agricultural methods are in this country, but it’s sure nice to be able to buy local vegetables at my local farmer’s market.
